These heat mats can be used under or in the terrarium or against the wall.  This Heat mat has an Extra Green Rubber coating to enhance its ability to retain heat and protect the heat mat for longer life.

The heat mat may not be larger than 1/3 of the surface of the terrarium. Do not install a heating element, such as a spot lamp, above the heat mat. The warmth is given off evenly over the whole surface of the heat mat improves appetite, digestion, metabolism and activity of the animals.  

For very damp environments, never put the mat in the terrarium.

WARNING: Do not cover the heat cable with a thick layer of substrate (Maximum 2 cm thick).This would prevent the release of the heat, and its possible that high temperatures will develop under the ground cover, which can cause burns to your animals, or fire. Never cut the cable in two. Do not immerse in water.
